We have a different name for our returns address (Perfectly Gifted Limited) so that if the recipient is returning the present to us directly, they won’t know you’ve used Bad Uncle. Don’t worry if you send the present back to “Bad Uncle at PO Box 148”, it will still get to us.
The procedure you need to follow when returning a present is slightly different depending on why the present is being returned. Please check below for points which are specific to your circumstances.
Faulty or damaged presents
If the present is faulty or defective when it is delivered by us, or where we have sent the wrong gift, let us know how much you spent returning the present to us and we will refund this to you. Ask the post office for a proof of postage certificate and enclose this with the present you are returning. Make sure you have enclosed all the packing, instructions or components that came with the gift, even if they are broken. We don’t need the gift wrapping provided by Bad Uncle.
Returns for another reason
If you are returning a present because it is unwanted, it needs to be returned in a perfect, unused condition in order for us to be able to give you a refund. This includes any packing, instructions or components that came with the gift, but not the gift wrapping provided by Bad Uncle – that doesn’t need to be returned to us.
General points
Remember, you need to return the present to us within 30 days of delivery to be able to take advantage of the Bad Uncle returns policy, no matter why the present is being returned.
Also, Bad Uncle won’t accept responsibility for presents lost in transit (so no pretending you’ve returned the present, when really you’ve kept it for yourself). To be on the safe side you are best using a delivery service like Recorded Delivery.
Where we are making a refund, we will make the payment onto the credit card or Pay Pal account which was used to pay for the present. Bad Uncle will aim to have this done within 30 days of receiving the present back from you.
